an artwork for a doob.vosk. book clutch
I was asked by doob.vosk. to create an illustrated book cover for a clutch design. The Ukrainian brand doob.vosk. makes beautiful wooden book clutches (check them out here). I chose the book 'Anna Karenina' by Leo Tolstoy to create a cover for. The final result is a bright indoor scenery, that shows Anna's indecisiveness when it comes to love. Is she going to stay with her husband, or is she going to be with her lover (Vronsky) who is waiting for her to come along?

Digital sketch versus the final result. You can see how many details of the original sketch are changed or removed during the process of making this illustration. And although I kept the same color scheme as the original sketch, a few details changed color in the final piece to create balance and serenity in the artwork.
