The boys make their debut on Phobiq with two shadowy tracks and “Weirdo” sets the tone right from the start with neo-acidic stabs leading the way while streamlined synths and crackling snares add to the tense, claustrophobic atmosphere. “OCD” continues in the same vein with a locomotive rhythm section and cavernous effects, allowing a menacing riff to add even more character to the stomping vibe.

The Canadian duo make their debut on Phobiq, kicking off the EP with loopy electronics, haunting samples and the grinding rhythm section of the title track. Etai Tarazi’s version completely flips things around as he employs a sticky bassline and streamlined synths, while retaining the original’s cavernous vibe. The closing offering is a chord-led number held together by a rocksteady groove and juicy sub bass, combined with tasty vocal edits for added suspense.

The boys are back on Phobiq and introduce us to yet another page of their production story. “Crank” kicks things off with a bubbling bassline, before letting plucky stabs take control while loopy samples provide the necessary momentum. The apocalyptic, arpeggiated breakdown acts like the extra icing on the cake. “Optimus” is up next and holds the cavernous vibe down with heavy use of droned-out synths, grinding hats and eclectic sonic manipulation.
