Inspiration comes from the classic Atari Game Space Invaders--After searching the web for screen shots for the original game and clones--tracing of the 8 bit graphic starts in Adobe Illustrator.
Images are drawn by creating a uniform square then aligned side by side.
I hit the command Y key in Adobe Illustrator to see if the blocks are connecting or to see if they can be grouped or united together--this way I can save some time on the laser cutter.
For some reason my iPhone photo of the laser cutter is displaying sideways--but the sheet of acryllic is aligned and the origin is set on the laser cutter--and the design is downloaded to the laser cutter for cutting :)
A close up of the final design--I just need to run it through some water to wash away the small pieces and the dust :)
My iPhone image needs to be rotated, and the final design makes a great converstation piece in my office :) Thanks for reading about my project :)
