-My submission for the 58th annual Allentown Art Festival poster competition-
Each year the Allentown Village Society holds a competition to select the official poster design that accompanies the festival. This design will be featured on the marketing materials for the annual Art Festival which includes the printing of the Festival Poster, Show Guide, Brochure and the Screen Printing of the T-Shirts.
I wanted to create something that was clean, easy to read and eye-catching. The event takes place in summer so bright pops of color seemed fitting. I created icons of several different artistic elements that make up this great festival, including painting, sculpture, drawing, pottery, photography, and of course a few subtle buffalo to honor the city itself. I created a sun-like pattern radiating from the name, symbolizing all the amazing art this festival brings to the city of Buffalo. Thanks for looking...
