This is a bit of a delayed post/work, but thought I'd upload it anyways.

I'm currently on vacation, but before I left, I was invited to attend a friends wedding. Being the kind of guy who's unsure of what gift to give them, and not wanting to be like the 30 or so other people who just give money (although I did that as well), I wanted to make something for the special couple. 
Seeing as how I knew the bride and she loved a previous handmade carved stone pendant I made for her, I opted out to make a journal/book for the two new lovebirds to write their secret desires in. (Or just grocery/to-do lists.) 

This was my first time working with antique leather stain, but I think it worked out well. Though there are a few things I wish I could fix, but I sadly wasn't able to. :/
I wanted to also age the pages by "tanning" them to a yellow/light burned look, but after 2 attempts at failing trying to get the desired look of the pages, I had to scrap the idea, due to limited time.

I do hope this gift, though small, may proove useful to the two newlyweds.
