Northbrook Bicycles is a supplier of custom fixed gear bicycles like the one below. Customers can order a bicycle and customize it by adding different parts to a frame. I was asked to make a website from scratch with a logo and a video to promote the new website.

I started this project by creating the logo. For this company it was all about clear vision and a formal look. The client wanted a fresh and clean look for his company. I've chosen a bold, sans serif font for the name and a light, sans serif font for the bicycles. I was very inspired by the way bicycle frames are welded together. It's all about curves and lines that make up a bicycle. I've given the letter 'N' in the word 'Northbrook' a similar curve which was highly appreciated by the client.

In contrary to the black and red color setup to create the logo, I've decided to use black in combination with three very noticable primary colors to create the website. Red blue and orange. The colors highlight links to create a certain call-to-action.

By using small tags it was possible to make sure products were introduced in the right manner. When shopping for a custom bicycle it is important to show the customer what parts are compatible, on sale and popular to help the customer decide on what to choose.

A very important part of buying customised bikes is to make sure you have the right measurements. Each bike has it's own color and size. When ordering online it is important to give the customer detailled information about sizes. Shown below is how the size is measured by using a small infogram.

I had this idea to show how the bicycles are customly build so customers can get an idea about what Northbrook Bicycles is all about. Videos can be shared across social media platforms easily and are therefore a very effective way of reaching out to the customers. I've shot all the footage with a Nikon D7000 and edited the video in Adobe Premiere. You can see how the video turned out below:
