Fal Fresco Street Market

The Brief: To create a new and contemporary street market for Falmouth and to present this to the town council and existing businesses.

The Solution: Fal Fresco is a street food market, designed to bring the different people of the town together, and allow them to try new food through the markets unique 'pick and mix' style. Research into existing markets revealed that one of the main attractions of a market to people is the community and social elements, so i decided to create a market that wouldn't isolate anyone.

The branding for Fal Fresco was designed to reflect the markets purpose as well as the towns famous coastal location. The hand drawn graphics used throughout the branding are intended to make the market as friendly and appealing as possible to a large audience. The idea of a friendly, hand drawn logo was to fit again with the idea of community.

Stickers placed around the town to advertise the market. This is a simple and quick way to reach alot of different people around the town and also adds an appeal to the younger audience who are less likely to use a market.
Paper bag and plate used at the market. I chose paper for cost efficiency and to keep the authentic market feeling, rather than something to corporate.
The final video to be presented to the council needed to he informative as to why they should back the market. I kept this as simple and professional as possible within the two minute limit, keeping with the hand drawn style used in the rest of the project.
