Rain - an installation

In Zulu mythology it is believed that a chameleon was sent by the great creator to share the gift of immortality. On the path down from heaven to earth, the animal started to procrastinate. At the same time, the great creator reconsidered his gift and sent a lizard to tell his people that everything created would face an inevitable end.

I created an installation to spatially represent the creation myth of the Zulu Tribe of Africa.
The path taken by the two animals and the message they carried is represented in the form of rain descending from the heavens.

The heavy downpour is a representation of the message of mortality which was carried by the lizard and spread amongst the people. The faint drizzle of colourful rain is a representation of the message of immortality carried by the chameleon which never reached the people due to the animals distracted state of mind.
This installation was the end product of the first Design Project.
The aim of the project was to spatially represent a story within
