Save the Date Postcard

My sister asked for me to design a save the date card for her upcoming wedding.  The floral and celtic borders are not my illustrations, mostly this card is layout design and using typography in a sophisticated way.  The ring is an illustration that I used illustrator for.  Time was short and so the floral and celtic borders were bought from dollarphotoclub.com so that I could get the cards ready for print in time.  This is the final version of the humorous save the date card.
This is the final version that was more formal and restrained (humor-wise), which was mailed out to the rest of the guest list.
This is the final version of the save the date postcard from the back.  Again for layout and type design.
This is the final ring that the bride-to-be approved of for the card.  It was designed using illustrator with the 3D effect and gradient tool.
I personally liked this ring illustration more, but the eventual type-face that was decided on did not suit this ring angle well. The ring was also illustrated in illustrator using the 3D effect and gradient tool.
The first ideation for the card.
The first ideation for the back of the post card.
A second version I'd shown in which I use the ring from illustrator. The diamond was created directly in InDesign.
A third ideation and she wasn't too happy with the mauve background and wanted to see it in cream.
A repeat of the 2nd ideation with a cream background.
Another version of the back of the postcard with only celtic borders.
