'The Locals' Icon Redesign

The Locals is a community of co-producers--a group of people intentionally consuming and producing the things and ideas they want to see flourish in the world.  The Locals have done away with their brick and mortar location, and opened a mobile food hub in the form of a bicycle.  With the added mobility of a bicycle, The Locals are able to spread the message of local food, art and culture throughout the city of Conway and beyond.  They wanted to re-brand themselves while maintaining some of the original elements in their logo.
This icon redesign was created to help visualize The Locals main goal of getting more locally grown food into the hands of the people in the community, and to support the farmers who produce it.

The sprout represents local food and also stands for the idea of growing and the potential that small things can become big ones.

The bike gear references the fact that The Locals are going to be mobile. It also refers to the pedal powered delivery cart that The Locals will be using. When you see that bike peddling around town, you can be sure The Locals are on their way to a great event with local food in tow.
The Locals Food Hub will serve as a central point of contact for local food producers, restaurants, wholesale buyers, and other consumers. This redesign of their logo will help them to brand themselves and help make local food more visible around town.
