Requirements

Looking in detail at the principles behind the notion of display and human interaction, perception and understanding. From the projected image, to paintings, prints, sculpture, and 3D objects, you will explore rationales of scale and proportion as well as lighting, security, status and flow

After a systematic survey of the Ruskin Gallery, learning how to use a laser measure to produce scaled floor plans and elevations, you are asked to fully describe the existing space (via. Plans, elevations and sections) before going on to document proposed changes, according to your chosen Creative.

The Exhibition space must contain a small café, that will serve your target audience and must retain an understandable link or cohesiveness with the entire space. The number of covers, style of furniture, type of food and beverages being served must all be taken into account.

Ambiance, practicality, functionality, lighting, seating, staffing and bar design should be proposed.
A core requirement of the project is to design a piece of furniture that is informed and informs the collection on display. It could be a piece of display cabinetry or café furniture. It should work with the entire scheme but not overpower or detract from the works on show.
