#noblurredlines

THE BRIEF

Redesign the #noblurredlines campaign poster to educate people about sexual violence and rape.

“The campaign is targeted at potential victims and perpetrators, with the message that there are no blurred lines when it comes to rape and to dispel the misconceived notion that most rapes involve a stranger.”

AIMS

- Educate and inform sex without consent is rape
- Dispel common myths about rape
- Clear there are 'no blurred lines' when it comes to rape
- Keep the poster gender/orientation neutral to break stereotypes

AUDIENCE

16-37 male and female
THE IDEA

Rape is a crime, and we associate prison with criminals and the bars as a barrier protecting the world from the individual behind it. I decided to keep the poster as simple as possible so the information would be clearly understood. Colour is kept to a minimum, with the lines dominant in black so they are noticed immediately.
The white background allows the image to grab your attention and for the eye to follow to the written information.
Series of 6 posters, each with different information to help educate people about rape. I believed this to be much more effective than trying to fit all the relevant information onto one poster, and there were many perspectives to look from.
Thanks for looking!
