For this project I created a type specimen book, showcasing two of Monotype's typefaces. I turned to the history books to find a link between the two typefaces. I found that the period surrounding the great depression coincides with a revival of Bodoni, and that the great recession coincides with Egyptian Slate. By using type as a form of currency, I can emphasize the value of type and typographic design.
