For one of my favorite books, legends, and my first crush. The final image (above) began as a prospective Google Doodle to celebrate the anniversary release of Peter and Wendy by J.M. Barrie. Unsatsfied with what I felt was a very rough first stage of this design, I abandoned the Google Doodle application and focused on finalizing the illustration out of context, then reappropriating it to serve as a book cover.
