The Navigator was another large sketch done live as a part of the The Space Upstairs' Second Saturday. A night of music, dancing and performances. What is unique about this night's drawing was that I've never sketched a squid prior to this night. Unplanned, in the moment sketching with an audience. Looking back, I think this drawing was telling me I have the tools needed to navigate the rough seas that are ahead. Or maybe behind me? 2014 was rough. Either way I find it encouraging.
