Task // In this small project I was assigned to design a sound barrier for an urban environment. 

Solution // I started off with a collage representing my vision of the city. The bottom part of the collage represents the chaotic street level of the city, a lot of lights and very little structure. But if you go higher you get an overview of the city and these chaotic streets start to form a pattern. This collage formed the basis for the design.

Result // The sound barrier captures the essence of the collage. A Red line swhoching through the bottom part, like the taillights of cars in the city. The busy streets below and a much calmer patterns above.
