This selfportrait was made as an "in between" practice piece of Halloween (31 oct) and Self Portrait Day (1st Nov). The mean subject is the communication with a spirit within yourself.
The main inspiration for this piece was the numerous pictures regarding Seance.
Seancé /ˈseɪ.ɑːns/ or seance is an attempt to communicate with spirits. The word "séance" comes from the French word for "seat," "session" or "sitting," from the Old French "seoir," "to sit."
The whole process took about 8-10 hours total, done in Photoshop CS6 with my own custom brushes.
The smoke was created mixing a variety of textures and also a brush of Rafael Sarmento.
