Raleigh 2011 Product Catalog

This was the 4th or 5th catalog I did for Raleigh Bikes (I lost track) but only the 2nd that I had graphic control over both the bike graphics AND the catalog in the same year. The result: 112 pages of awesomeness, plus a pretty snazzy cover. My hope was to basically create a coffee table book that also happened to work as a damn good sales tool. I specifically designed the layout and pagination to give each bike its own page, making the product the hero of every page it was on. The full bike spec was displayed on each page as well, making it easy for a shop guy or a sales person to know the full details of the bike in an easy-to-find and easy-to-read fashion.

2011 was the second year of a huge marketing push on our heritage, hence the dramatic black and white images. We also introduced a new logo that year with red as the primary accent color, hence the bright bold red striping and typography throughout the catalog.
The cover had a spot varnish highlighting the "Raleigh Twenty Eleven" on both sides, the rider on the front (his name is Sally. Yes, seriously), and the bike on the back.

There's Sally again!
Since there were so many opportunities for lifestyle images, we even had chances to throw some fun gems in there! This is my pug, Dublin!
