The brief allows people on wheelchair to move independently.
The project is in partnership with the Italian company Ducati Energia. They actually produce an elecric vehicle called “FreeDuck”, currently in use for some public services like car shearing or post offices, but they decided to improve it for new landscapes where a cheap and light electric vehicle can be useful.
Less weight mean more efficiently and cheap. For this reason some parts are in polypropylene texture.
Here is how the ramp works. One motion is provided by rotation of a motor combined with a guide, and a second motion is provided by gravity and rolling of two little wheels on the ground.
