Årets vakreste Bøker (The Most Beautiful Books) is an annual design contest founded in 1933.
For the 2014 concept we highlighted the missing word from the title; Norwegian. We looked closely at all the awarded books in terms of the geographic origin of the paper, printer, typefaces etc. We collected and presented the data to expose the current state of the book publishing industry in Norway. The catalogue was produced entirely by using Norwegian components. Almost.
