Situated on a quiet hilltop between the Annapurna range's Fishtail mountain and Fewa Lake of Pokhara, Nepal, the Pema Ts'al Sakya Monastery is home to nearly 100 Tibetan Monks living in exile from their homelands of Tibet.
First established in 1999 in Kathmandu, the Monks of Pema relocated to Pokhara in 2002 under the blessings of the 41st Sakya Trizin, the head of the Sakya Sect of Tibetan Buddhism.
