Harbinger Skateboard
This board was part of Light Grey Art Lab's 'Skate or Die' gallery show, that was up in their gallery in October. The piece was inspired by the idea of skating as an act of rebellion against parents or authority.
The left image is the printed art and the right is how it was cropped onto the skateboard. For the skateboard design I left flatter areas for the board to show. When the image was applied to the board it was printed on a transparent media and then laquered on, so all the white areas actually become the woodgrain.
