In autumn 2012, I initiated a series of community-building parties and a crowdfunding campaign for Donetsk-based vinyl lovers. Over the course of a year we managed to raise over 2000 Euro for a community-owned set of turntables and paraphernalia. Unfortunatelly, the campaign had to end early summer 2014 due to the armed conflict in the region.
The basic premise of the Record Lovers Club is that anyone is welcome to take the DJ spot subject to two basic rules:
- the music must be recorded on vinyl
- if someone's cueing up behind you - you got to yield the spot
