"Prima Repubblica" means "First Italian Republic", an informal term for Italy between 1947 and 1992.
The main Italian political parties in those years were Christian Democracy (DC), Italian Socialist Party (PSI), Italian Communist Party (PCI).
First Italian Republic was a "magna magna" era.
"Magna" is a slang word that means "Eat" (...a lot of public money).
