In this collection of 12 flatworks, created in 2013, I began to hone my pseudo kitch aesthetic. These pieces, each representing a part of my life combined with my desire to experiment with composition, were created using found objects from my home - inspired by my childhood home. This collection was the first time I have outwardly expressed the internal conflict of living with my unusual family situation. The spine piece in particular is dedicated to my mother who has been suffering from nerve and bone displacement ever since her wreck over 8 years ago.
