ADIDAS GOES LOCAL

Mockups
Rationale
The aim of this assignment was to localise the Adidas logo in the designers own personal perspective of local. My perspective is coming from Rocklands, Mitchells Plain, Cape Town. Throughout the four frames i communicate what I consider to my local and a journey from one local environment to another, because I find myself between university and my area almost daily.
It’s a journey from University via bus to home environment, Mitchells Plain, where you’re met with the welcoming sign and fruit and vegetable vendors and take a route through multiple areas before mine. As you enter my area you are met with people standing at walls, spaza shops or on corners, also with the areas graffiti, stray dogs and cats. As you move to the end of the community you’ll find more spaza shops and the Kapteinsklip Masjid and the New Apostolic Church (church I attend). further on is the beach (Menandi) that’s well known and is a common place for the community in summer days and also hosts fisherman. Some of these fisherman would look to make a profit and sell what they caught which is common.
