This assignment was the first ever given in Graphic Design. The task was to draw a character of your choosing and upload it to Adobe Photoshop, and then use any of the tools to alter the photo. This was a practice run to become familiar with the tools since it was the first for some of the class. The tools I used were the Paint bucket tool to color the character and the background. Then with the erase tool  I removed the scythe that my character was originally holding and replaced it by copying and pasting a skull. The last thing I did was use the text box to add a phrase to my photo.
The purpose of this exercise was to create a vision board with the goals we want to achieve in 2024. I started off this assessment by adding color to my background with the paint bucket tool, then I gathered the pictures to illustrate my goals, the hardest part at first was using the magnetic lasso tool to crop out the specific part of the images that I wanted, until I realized how faster and easier it would be to use the magic wand tool. after doing that I used to move tool to place the images around the poster, used the gradient tool for a different backing in the frame and then used the text box to insert my quote.
The task at hand for this one was to use Photoshop to touch up a photo.I struggled at first because I did not know what all I could have used to alter the picture but after I did it went swimmingly. I first used the healing brush tool to remove any blemishes on the face of the muse. the next thing I did was use the color changing tool and changed her eye color from brown to blue, I then added some more color to her lips and then erased fly-aways with the eraser tool. Lastly I used the sharpen tool on the photo.
The Logo assignment was to create different versions of a logo for the same brand. I chose to use Burger King and I used different components to create a picture that best depicts the name. To change such an already iconic logo was the most challenging part, I wanted mine to live up to the same. I used the same concept of the original logo and added a crown to give it more of a "king" title.
Creating a story book at first sounded like it would be difficult to do, but after I got some inspiration I knew it wouldn't be as hard as I initially thought. The first thing I did to start this project was to use AI to create the subject of the book. Next, I had to find the perfect background to match the vibe of the story, which I created and added to the back of the book as a summary. After placing the blue wave in the background I had to use the eraser tool on the part that isn't the book to make it stretch across from front to back. And the text box tool to create the title and summary of the book.
This project was the only one I used Illustrator for. It was a bit more difficult to use as opposed to Photoshop but it worked out in the end. I had to find a poem and a background that matches. With shape builder I created the moon in the picture and placed the poem into the shape.
With this one I was tasked to create the design of a shirt. After gaining the inspiration needed to make my design I created it in Photoshop using pictures and the magic wand tool. with the design I made I used Custom Ink to put it onto a shirt.
The purpose of this project was to create a marketing ad in different sizes. I chose to do a sale for a Jewelry store. It took me about 3 tries to finally get the first design.I used the gradient tool to get the black and red back ground and pictures of jewelry to sell that it's a Jewelry store advertisement. I used the text box for the sale and the info of the sale. And then I repeated the process for the others with minimal changes to fit the size of them.
