The design is about desiging a Kindergarten with the perspective of environmental psychology of children. Due to the importance of the users of any architectural space and lack of attention of architects and being unfamiliar with the psychological characteristics of specific users, such as children. it is needed to have a proper perception of their understandings of spaces and their needs for architectural spaces specifically to them. children’s tendency to especial environmental graphic features such as light, color, and form have been studied and this project aims at an environmental psychologically design to develop children emotionally and physically.
Architectural design can significantly impact the psychological development of children in kindergartens. A design that incorporates curved and smooth architectural elements, such as a curved roof or circular forms, can have a positive effect on children’s well-being and learning outcomes.

Implementing a grid-based layout within the architectural design of the kindergarten in Randaberg can offer a structured and organized approach to creating distinct areas for different age groups and facilitating circulation. This intentional spatial arrangement, along with carefully considered geometrical forms in the building’s elevation and section, can significantly impact children’s cognitive and psychological development.
The geometrical forms used in the building’s elevation and section can further impact children’s cognitive and psychological development. Incorporating elements such as curved walls, rounded corners, or angled rooflines can introduce a sense of dynamism, playfulness, and creativity. These forms can stimulate children’s imagination and promote spatial awareness.
The grid layout not only provides a framework for defining different areas but also influences children’s circulation patterns and perspectives. Thoughtful placement of entrances, pathways, and view corridors can guide children’s movement throughout the kindergarten, encouraging exploration and discovery. Consideration should be given to create visual connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing children to experience a seamless transition between learning environments.
By incorporating outdoor spaces with varying levels of elevation, creating different perspectives and views, and incorporating natural features, we can create a stimulating, engaging, and safe environment for children to learn and play.
This design strategy not only invites natural light but also creates a visual connection between the indoor and outdoor environments, promoting a sense of openness and fostering a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
