The M1 Helmet is the combat helmet that was originally used by the US Military from 1941 and up all the way until 1985. The M1 Helmet was worn by US Military that was replaced the Brodie helmets that was used during World War I and beginning of World War II after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The M1 was worn during World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and Grenada/Panama War until that was replaced by the PASGT helmets in the mid-1980s and still remained worn around the world as of today. On the other hand, the helmet between World War II and Vietnam War are basically the same, however, it is the different between these helmet's chinstrap bales as World War II which the strap with the bales not moving, while the Vietnam War helmet has the hinged bales that was moving, that's how tell the difference between these helmets. The M1 Helmet will become the icon of the US Military that was inspired the militaries around the world. These helmets was originally worn by US Army (USA), US Marines (USMC), US Navy (USN) and US Coast Guard (USCG).
