Villa del Redentore
Situata nelle campagne del lodigiano, oggi della villa di epoca ottocentesca, rimane ben poco.
L'architetto che disegnò il progetto originale,e che ne seguì i lavori, fu Afrodisio Truzzi ,un neoclassicista, su commissione di Flaminio Ghisalberti , gran cambellano di sua maestà Francesco I.
La villa 1950 viene ceduta ad un organizzazione ecclesiastica che aggiunge un terzo piano e copre il cortile posteriore con una tettoiache dura ancora oggi.
Per anni la villa del redentore, ospita bambini e ragazzi diventando anche una scuola ma nel 1979, la proprietà cede l'immobile al comune e di conseguenza viene chiuso.
Ad oggi non vi è un uso specifico, anzi la struttura è completamente lasciata andare, la natura ha preso possesso dell'enorme parco e degli spazzi comuni.
La tettoia presenta grandi buchi i quali lasciano filtrare la luce. L'intera struttura è comunque in pessimo stato.
Qualche stanza è stata ricostruita in modo da lasciare una traccia di quello che era la vita all'interno del palazzo.
Il progetto è svolto in bianco e nero per enfatizzare lo stato di abbandono e la desolazione del palazzo.
Located in the Lodi countryside, today very little remains of the nineteenth-century villa. The architect who designed the original project, and who followed the works, was Afrodisio Truzzi, a neoclassicist, commissioned by Flaminio Ghisalberti, grand chamberlain of His Majesty Francesco I.
In 1950 the villa was sold to an ecclesiastical organization which added a third floor and covered the rear courtyard with a roof which still stands today.
For years the Villa del Redentore hosted children and teenagers, also becoming a school but in 1979, the owners sold the property to the municipality and as a result it was closed.
To date there is no specific use, in fact the structure has been completely abandoned, nature has taken possession of the enormous park and common areas.
The canopy has large holes which allow light to filter through. However, the entire structure is in terrible condition.
Some rooms have been rebuilt in order to leave a trace of what life was like inside the palace.
The project is carried out in black and white to emphasize the state of abandonment and desolation of the building.
