Short film about a medieval knight who must battle a dark lord to save the woman he loves, and the kingdom he calls home.

This was an incredibly hard project. This was my senior capstone project, finalizing my degree at John Brown University. I learned a tremendous amount about leadership on this project, most of all I learned to prioritize the needs and capabilities of the team first. You do that and the project will thrive, and the team will have fun and be happy. You can only give your all when the leader provided stability, planning, and space for you to do so.

A little more on what I mean... I wrote the script for this spectacular half hour long, medieval, fantasy short film - complete with monsters, costumes, and a crowd of wondering monks and villagers wondering through the woods. To say this was ambitious would be an understatement. Especially when realizing we were all balancing this project with other projects, a full college course load, and jobs.

We filmed nearly every weekend of a fall semester. My friends put their utter heart and soul into this project, as did I. And in the end, after a few friends had to understandably pass on their positions to someone else, and after we had to let go the two male leads at the end of our first day of filming and find completely new leads AND refilm those scenes, in the end we conquered, prevailed, and I cried.

Because of what we all had to overcome to make this film happen, it holds a special place in my heart. I am so tremendously thankful to everyone who had a hand in making this wonderful film a reality.
