3D Modeling and Animation for AWS' "Senki nincs már ébren"
In this collaborative project, I had the privilege of working alongside renowned Hungarian rock band AWS, directors Levente Sáfrány and Marcell Belső, and director of photography Péter Polus to create AWS' latest music video. As one of the 3D modelers and animators, my role involved utilizing Blender to translate the directors' visionary concepts into reality.
The directors envisioned a thought-provoking contrast between the dullness of everyday life and the passionate depths of the protagonist's (Gréta Miklósváry) inner soul, expressed through a striking color palette: sterile white for the real-world scenes, and a bold red for the symbolic corridor scenes. Building upon their creative vision, I meticulously crafted 3D assets and animations that enhanced the video's aesthetic and emotional impact.
The end result is an immersive music video that expertly combines live-action footage with mesmerizing 3D visuals, showcasing AWS' artistic prowess and providing viewers with a unique and memorable experience.
In an early concept for the corridor scene, the walls were adorned with swirling, water-like plastic wrap, serving as a symbolic barrier separating the protagonist's inner world from their everyday reality. While visually compelling, this design proved too complex for the project's timeline due to rendering challenges. Ultimately, doors replaced the plastic wrap, maintaining the scene's visual appeal and symbolic significance while ensuring production deadlines were met.
