Recently, I submitted an artwork to Encounters Magazine. The theme was "Development", imagining a future Singapore. The future Singapore will have no view. In Singapore, we stay in HDBs, Housing board development. Due to the "shortage" in land, our HDBs are getting taller and taller like
castles in the skies.
It's an eyesore, I used to look out at the window, smile at the beautiful blue sky and wonder about all sorts of things. Now I look out and see a tower obstructing my view, it irritates me. In the future, I will just see buildings.
There will be no sky.
