The Cranberries GIT 417 Final

GIT 417 Final The Cranberries
Requirements
For this final project of GIT 417, we had to create a fully semantic coded single-page website using our knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The site had to be a single page that displayed properly styled at 1280px wide (fixed). The page should look like a real, stand alone website.  We were able to choose from a real or fictional company or person, this all depended on what we hope to achieve after graduation and what path we want. We had to include a light or dark mode functionality in our website, a contact form as well as we had the option between product display, game play or a cost calculator.
Inspiration
I struggled for a while trying to figure out what I wanted to do, I tossed a few ideas out and started over multiple times. I don't know if that hindered my outcome or not. I originally was working on a website for a family violence women's refuge non-profit that I have close connection with but I struggled with wanting to display real world information of the refuge. I ended up then debating doing a team shop page, but ended up landing on one of my all time favorite bands webpages. Although I will say I didn't do the actual bands webpage justice but it is a great goal to strive for.
With this webpage I created I wanted to make a fan page and merch page for The Cranberries, if I had more time I would of loved to of added more to the store, imbed music and videos.
Steps
There was multiple steps to building this site. They included extensive research on the band, numerous hours delightful music, wireframes, color schemes, reading over past lessons and watching previous videos. It was a difficult final but even though the final project has flaws, I did learn more doing the project then I have previously.
Color Palette
I thought the official webpage's color palette was beautiful and I enjoyed how the purple popped on the webpage. I know they used it because of the 25th anniversary of to the faithful departed.
Dolores O'Riordan
The Cranberries have been close to my heart for over 20 years, they bring back wonderful childhood memories with my late mother and Dolores was always one of my mothers favorite people and artist. When she died prior to their tour in 2018 I was devastated and I wanted to pay a little tribute to her. They had previously made a playlist for her with million of listens to remember her called 'Remembering Dolores'. I wanted to share that with anyone who stumbles upon my page, so that is linked in the webpage.
I found coding and designing the CSS was a big challenge for me and decided to not do anything to crazy with my webpage. I would of loved to styled the discography differently and made it more incorporated into the website. I struggled with the checkout aspect of the assignment and was warned it was one of the more difficult options but I got so far into my research and HTML coding that changing to the other options wasn't really in the plan. They didn't fit too well with the site I was trying to build.
The form wasn't too difficult because we had done it multiple times in class and other classes but you can see how I was unable to finish the cart above.
