Mythic Ocean - The Twins (Ketri and Esti)

The twins concepts started with the only direction being young and mischievous. I drew inspiration from will 'o wisps, jellyfish and dolls for my first designs, but as we further developed and got to know Ketri and Esti it was clear that these fell short of the complicated characters they would be. Ultimately what I wanted to evoke were two aliens on an alien planet. Add to that how otherworldly underwater creatures already were and I had a very interesting challenge on my hands.
There's the old adage "like a fish out of water". Well the game is in water, so what would be the opposite of that? This is how I arrived at a pair of characters that were mammalian bipedal cat like creatures.
