Brief
Create a limited edition graphic for "the last of us" which could work for both the tv series and the videogame. The series make great use of symbolism, therefore the cover should have a metaphorical meaning related to the story.
Idea and execution
I've decided to create a simple graphic which symbolizes one of the most famous phrases from the series: "look for the light". The firefly represents the source of light and it's also the symbol on one of the main military groups in the series. From it, a ray of light illuminate the series logo while also suggesting that many major events of the story revolve around our search for happiness. However, just like the series teach us, appearances can be deceiving and sometimes following blindly the light lead us on a dangerous path. Just like the moths are attracted to the fireflies' lights without seeing the trap behind it until the very end.
