Homemade camera obstura

Appearance of the camera, this camera had three improvements over the process of making it

1. Added duct tape on the back of the interior and back of camera to improve light seal

2. Added two black paper pieces on each side of film compartment to prevent light from leaking inside the box

3. Added two pieces of styrene on each film container to improve grip when rolling the film.

I used a Android app called Rex Light Meter to measure and determain exposure value.

These are the results, somehow I'm getting the same light strips as my girl friend had, couldn't figure out what caused light strips.

 

For the next time, I'm planning on using eletrical junction boxes and wall plates to create sealed camera box. I believe it will be much easeier to achieve light seal.
