Pompei Street Festival 2022 @ Gragnano, Italy.

It was important to me that Gragnano’s inhabitants could relate to the mural. Renowned for having the best-dried pasta in Italy, I decided to highlight this distinctive feature of the city in my artwork. It is interesting to know that the city’s main street was built to receive the mountain breeze mixed with sea air back when pasta makers hung spaghetti on drying rods like laundry. I also incorporated the falcon - a typical bird from the local mountains - representing the animal spirit and protector of the place.”
