School Project: SMARTShot App

Introducing SMARTShot, a product companion app designed for basketball players looking to get more data and feedback on their shots. This project included designing flowcharts, wireframes, and a fully designed prototype app.
Three Key Design Choices:

Color Scheme: I wanted the aesthetic of this app to be simple (dark grey) and calm (blue) with a small pop of vibrance (bright green). I primarily used the green in places to indicate a made shot with visuals like check marks or dots. Both accent colors, the blues and green, created nice contrast with the dark grey background color.

Clips/Saved Feature: One of the last developments in my app was adding the "saved" screen on to the video clip page. This adds more opportunities for customization and control for the athlete to filter out specific shots from a list of hundreds of different shots. To save a clip, the athlete would simply just click the "save" button near the top right of the screen, then navigate to the saved page to view them.

Home Page: All along, I envisioned the home screen, which functions as the workout summary screen, to be first thing you see when you open the app and serve as a hub for the rest of the app experience. From the home screen, you can view the database, look at video clips, access saved shots, start a session, and view a number of stats that summarize that workout. I think that this page helps the athlete to get an overall feel for how their workout or game went before they dive in deeper through the different features the app has to offer.
