Mandriamo

Mandriamo is a video-photographic exhibition that involves people and architecture of Mandria, a village near Torino, Italy. We observed the village of Mandria and its people for a year by taking pictures and interviewing them. The project is summarized in the main product of the video interview, which involved most of the population. We built the exhibition with a background theme: the cinema. In this way we built a small movie theater equipped with chairs and a big screen. For this reason, any photo section presented a poster as a reference image.
The real purpose of Mandriamo is to speak up for the village and help to restructure its historical architecture.

The first part of the exhibition is a photo-gallery narrating the life of the village observed throughout the year.
Every section has a theme, which is presented by a "movie poster".
The most important part of the exhibition, in which we showed pictures of the ruins of the ancient village, in contrast with the happiness and the beautiful places and moments of the other areas.
The short movie, in which each and every inhabitant of the small village could express thoughts and opinions through short interviews.
