I created a booklet inspired by the song "BLACK" by Pearl Jam, focusing on its emotional depth and aesthetic. Each spread features the song's lyrics, meticulously crafted to reflect its themes of lost love and moving forward. Using a predominantly black and white palette, I aimed to capture the profound sadness and longing conveyed in the music. Additionally, splashes of pink and red highlight key words and phrases, adding emphasis and significance. Hand-lettering much of the type lends a gritty, grunge-inspired feel reminiscent of the band's style, while a textured cardboard overlay enhances the overall emotive impact of the design.
