Oba Chair: A chair inspired by my grandma

𓇢𓆸OBA Chair:
A chair inspired by my grandma
When I was assigned to make a chair, instantly I wanted to create something that reminded me of home. A chair that radiates comfort and nostalgia feelings, like the ones you'd find in your grandparents' old house
So, I decided to design Oba.
Originally, I was aiming for a natural beige modern theme, but I found it boring and doesn't quite reflect my personal style. Then, when I thought about this whole "traditional" theme, it brought back memories of my own grandma. She adores greens and tends to a small garden just outside her bedroom. It instantly clicked. This chair marks my first venture into life-size furniture, and let's just say I'm proud of it.

Heavily inspired by traditional Japanese style furniture, Oba incorporates some traditional touches. The central carving resembles flowers blooming in a garden, hence the green-lime color of the sofa. I opted to lightly stain the wood, preserving it's natural colors and streaks.
