Happy Canyon
Happy Canyon Road enters the Los Padres National Forest from the west off Highway 154 near Santa Ynez in Santa Barbara County, California. The road winds through foothills of the San Rafael Mountains, over a ridge, and then drops down into a narrow canyon along Cachuma Creek. There are several primitive campsites along the road and creek. I chose a camp under large oak trees and made it home for a few days. These photos were taken near my camp.
