Batman Movie Poster
The goal of this project was to create an 11"x17" movie poster in the style of MONDO. This art work was done in Adobe Illustrator.
The project began with simple thumbnail sketches. Below are the initial ideas that I had in mind after going through the project brief:
My main concept for these sketches was to include the most important elements from the film in the final poster. In this case, they were Batman, Riddler, and Gotham City. If you trace the bats in the final poster, you'll notice that they form a question mark "?" symbol. This was done to represent the Riddler.
Then, once these ideas were approved, I proceeded to make a final sketch layout. The final layout ended up being a combination of thumbnails 1, 4, and 5.
From this layout, I began working on the final poster. The steps I took to arrive at the final poster are shown by the images below:
