The next project in my typography class was to build the alphabet inspired by a chosen object.

I chose a snail shell I found in my parents' backyard.

First modules are developed out of the shapes of the chosen object.

Then these modules are used to build an alphabet.

There was a lot of trial and error.

I finally found the right modules to build my letters.
