Rococo x Empire-styling and drawing project

This is one of my favourite styling projects: a hybridization between Rococo fashion and Empire period style. The first is all about by opulence and excess, and the second is characterized by simplicity, naturalness and is based on the Helenistic canon of a straight figure and clothes mostly made of fabric folds.
First, I made three moodboards: the first one exemplifies the Rococo period, the second one, the Empire period, and the third is a hybridization of the first two.
In my styling I tried to incorporate both elements from Rococo and from Empire. The fruits are a reference to the excessive parties held during the Rococo period. The ribbons, bows and pearls are also used to express a reminiscence of the extravagance in Rococo court fashion. On the other hand, the color choice (white and very pale colors) was made acording to the simplicity of Empire fashion.
I also made some fashion illustrations inspired by this photoshoot.
And the pinnacle of this project was the realization of two artworks based on the stylings that I made. The dimensions are: 100x70 the one on the left and 50x70 the one the right. I worked with pencils, colored pencils and colored charcoal.
