The Made in Oklahoma Bar in the Chesapeake Energy Arena was completed for Levy Restaurants and Showtime Graphics & Displays. The original name and design of the bar, as seen in the images, was the Makers Mark Whiskey Bar. Renovation for the bar will begin October, 2014 and is located on the club and suite level of the arena.

The desired look of the bar was a rustic Oklahoma design, including repurposed/reclaimed wood planks to cover the front of the bar and backdrop, as well. Mason jar lights will replace the existing cylinder-shaped lights. Rock texture vinyl will cover the “hidden door” and wall that is adjacent to it.

The two signs (“Fan Favorites” and “Made in Oklahoma”) on the backdrop will be transformed into neon and mounted. The signs are made with typefaces that are used in Oklahoma City Thunder collateral, so the fan experience from Thunder-related collateral to the Made in Oklahoma Bar are synonymous. Overall, the desired finished design was to have a relationship between the Thunder and the bar itself, without any direct mention of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
