BIMM Social Media & Internal Work

BIMM Agency - Internal Work
In my time with BIMM I helped to shape elements for social outreach and internal culture.
I created pieces for BIMM's social media relaunch including shot video, gifs, and social posts. My main responsibilities were animation, video editing, audio editing, and visual design for static posts. I also contributed to some post copy, and had a voice in the conversations discussing post strategy.
One of the posts I helped with was creating an office tour video showcasing the office's location and culture. We organized a walk-through shoot using a colleague's 360 degree camera on one of our in-office days to capture the bustle on a busy day. I then went through the footage and framed shots from the 360 footage, carefully speeding up and slowing down the timing to crop out less important shots, and focus on the more interesting parts of the office. The edited footage was then cut to some stock music that I sourced, and was posted to the company's Instagram profile.

The final video is below:
One of my other large undertakings as far as internal work at BIMM was a series of animations I created to illustrate their ten company values. These animations were entirely self-driven for initial creative, with internal check-ins to discuss concepts and review with our CCO and CEO. I started out by roughing in some simple storyboards and potential concepts for each of the ten.

I've included some of the initial concept work below:
After nailing down our concepts for each, I began to execute on the animation work.
We had weekly check-ins to discuss changes and edits to clean up the concepts and make them translate as well as possible across various uses. The main use-case was to introduce new employees to the company values in a welcome presentation, but we wanted the animations to be flexible for use across a wide variety of applications.

I opted to create the initial set as a series of transparent GIF files so they could be easily dropped into a variety of platforms, and used on different coloured backgrounds. Given that I was animating these in After Effects, we could always return to the working files if there was ever a need for different filetypes, or to re-export the files with different colours.

The final exported files are below, with their respective company values:
1 - Make the client shine.
2 - Go beyond good enough.
3 - Think like an entrepreneur.
4 - Share your ideas.
5 - Have every BIMMer's back.
6 - Own your work.
7 - Don't be afraid to fail.
8 - Be buttoned-down.
9 - Have fun every day.
10 - Make it rain.
These animations were also re-interpreted for use in the company's Slack server as emojis, which was a challenge. The animations had to be re-cropped and the figures had to be given more weight to translate well at a small size. Timing for each animation had to be adjusted as well, to reduce file size and be valid as uploaded emoji files.

The emoji versions are below:
There are a few other pieces of the social media presence that I contributed to as well, but many are files that have since been pushed to internal servers. I'd be happy to chat about the other posts if you have any questions! Thanks for checking it out.
