Housing Unit that would extend vertically with a garden in the middle combining with staircase area. The outer frame would be another layer of door or a porch.
The lighthole in the middle of the house to distinguish two part of the housing unit; the outer for living room or commercial and the inner for private spaces suc as kitchen or bedroom.

MOVE OF GREEN SPACE
The focal purpose was to distribute green space equally to every citizen. To achieve this goal we tried to apply different kind of green spaces and public spaces in the process of combining three typologies (individual work) for approximately 200 habitants. In this project, privacy changed gradually from inner house out to the street so that citizens would say “hi” to their neighbours yet stay away from them whenever they want. We believed it was crucial for creating responsive living environment.
The most fantastic characteristic of my site was advantage from water front. I tried to [visually] connect two side of the road by using the same code for plantation and pavement material.
HOUSING UNIT TYPOLOGY
This project was done in three phases, two of which were individual work interlaced by group work of three students. The exercise began with designing a housing unit for the abandoned site that once an industrial zone.
The main idea was to bring green space into the house not only for ventilation but also temperature conditioning. The size of each plot was 4.5m width and 17m length, which was common in traditional housing in Vietnamese context.
This model was vertically extendable with the smallest unit would contain one living room, one kitten and one bedroom. Identity of this housing unit was the flexible porch. It could change to cover the lighting court in case of raining or to provide shadow for front yard or to create continuous green façade.
Inner courtyard was for reducing temperature and creating micro nature landscape for the house.
