Making The Wind Walkers has long been a dream of mine. When I was a teenager and read every science fiction and fantasy book I could get my hands on, my two favorites were always Frank Herbet's Dune and Alain Damasio's La Horde du Contrevent (The Wind Walkers).
One of my dreams is to make an ambitious adaptation of the latter.

Synopsis:
They are 23, forming the 24th Windward Horde. In a world swept by the winds, they have been trained since childhood for a single purpose: to travel the world, from West to East, from East to West, against the wind, across plains, water and icy peaks, to reach the mythical Far East, the source of all the winds.
All different, but all united, they form a self-sufficient horde, advancing with a single goal in mind, constantly battling against the wind. Drawing on the knowledge and experience of eight centuries of failure, they are said to be the best and the ultimate Horde, the one that will finally reach the Extreme-Amount.
